Do you remember growing up and going to various restaurants or family member's houses? There were occasions when you would have a seat at the kitchen or dinner table and immediately you became aware that the seat you were sitting in was not designed for you. Most of the time, you would instantly know because your feet would somehow dangle in the air because they could not rest on the ground. I remember vividly being interviewed on TV shows and having to find a way to rest my feet on a fixed object so that they didn’t dangle helplessly off of the stools we would sit on during interviews. Now, don’t go and make short jokes about some of us because you never had this experience; just thank God for his infinite wisdom that created you with the height you have. At any rate, the point that I am making is that some seats that we sat in were needful, and some even prominent. However, the seat was not perfectly designed for us, and it was obvious. My friend, Our Heavenly Father, the Master Creator of all things, has crafted and designed a seat specifically for you and me. It is perfectly cut and carved to accommodate all of our perfections and imperfections. Your assigned seat is not too firm, nor is it too soft. It allows you to rest when you need to, yet has the durability to allow you to rule and govern when necessary. It’s a seat designed just for you, and no one else can occupy it – it is your assigned seat.
